My brother Charlie has Type 1 diabetes and has been taking insulin for almost 2 years, so our family and some of our
and his friends went on Sunday, June 11th to support him and the JDRF. As a surprise for Charlie, his teammates from
the Manitoba Stallions hockey team also came to the event...and so did his coaches, bringing hats/t-shirts for all players!"
"The JDRF event was awesome...great walking weather, stage music/dancing, 'bouncers', special guests,
lots of free food (hot dogs, chips, juice)...and even a girls-boys 'dance-off', which the boys won, of course!"
