"Just me and my Grandpa Wayne enjoying some great fishing in Grindstone Provincial Park on May 27th and 28th.
We fished for three hours on Sunday (2:30 to 5:30 pm) on a family friend's lakefront shoreline before moving out of the
strong winds to try our luck at the 'small beach'. At 7:30 pm Grandpa dropped me off at my cabin because I was getting
tired and we weren't catching any fish...what a mistake! Grandpa went back to our family friend's shoreline...and in calm
weather he caught four walleyes in the next hour...and then another, just before the sun set...which measured 28 inches!"

"We got up early Monday morning and were fishing on our family friend's shoreline by 7:30 am!
In the next five hours we caught seven fish (me four, Grandpa three) before starting to pack up to go
back home...but we were having so much fun in the great weather that we agreed to stay another 1/2 hour."

"I decided to try casting, so Grandpa let me use his red and white Canadian Wiggler that had been
collecting dust in his tackle box for 40 years...and within 15 minutes of casting off the dock I got a
strike and hollered 'Grandpa, I got a trophy', so Grandpa rushed over to help me bring it in! Sure
enough, the walleye that I had caught also measured 28 inches like Grandpa's...but he said it seemed
to be about two pounds heavier than his. We found out later that both of our 28-inch walleyes would
have qualified for Master Angler awards, but we didn't take pictures of them beside a measuring tape."
